He's my Brother

I recall
the sound of you twisting open
a bottle containing your
medicine. The smell of medicine
drifted through the air, and
it pained me to see you
swallow those pills with water
so clear that it reminded me
of what you were like
before. So I hid in my room
and started to cry, but you
will never know.

I recall
the sound of you lighting up
a cigarette. The brand was
Marlboro. The smell of cigarette
drifted through the air, and
it pained me to see you
breathe in the smoke with strength
so new that it reminded me
of what you were like
before. So I hid in my room
and started to cry, but you
will never know.

6:37 PM - and Time will say nothing but 'I told you so'.
Check out Chinese version of my bleeding voice [here].
